Para fazermos comparações na língua inglesa, temos que observar o número de sílabas dos adjetivos em questão.
Observe os seguintes quadros:
A - Comparison with -er/-est

Solicite a leitura dos quadros pelos próprios alunos, proporcionando uma maior participação e interação.
ATIVIDADE 2
Solicite aos alunos que acessem o slide no link: http://www.slideshare.net/lenitazen/funny-comparisons (acesso em 14.09.2013) e reparem na semelhança entre as imagens.
Faça a seguinte pergunta aos alunos: How are they different or how are they similar? Os alunos deverão, então, em duplas, apontar semelhanças e diferenças entre os personagens que aparecem no slide, elaborando frases com adjetivos na sua forma comparativa.
Ajude com o vocabulário e a pronúncia, quando necessário. A atividade deve ser escrita e depois compartilhada com todo o grupo.

ATIVIDADE 3
Peça para que os alunos acessem o vídeo contido no site: http://aprenderinglescommusica.com.pt/httpdocs/index.php/degrees-of-adjectives-the-comparative/ (acesso em 14.09.2013), ouçam a música. Distribua a letra da música com espaços em branco e peça para que os alunos os completem com os adjetivos da tabela a seguir. Toque o áudio mais de uma vez, facilitando a compreensão da letra da música e informe que cada palavra poderá ser utilizada apenas uma vez. Para a correção, pause o áudio em cada espaço e solicite a cada aluno a resposta correta. Escreva-a no quadro, se achar necessário. Com a letra completa, toque a música pela última vez, solicitando aos alunos que cantem a fim de praticar a pronúncia das palavras, proporcionando um ambiente de descontração.

Professor, distribua o quadro a seguir para cada aluno e peça para que os alunos o preencham com os adjetivos que aparecem na música na sua forma comparativa. Os alunos poderão trabalhar em duplas e deverão realizar a correção oralmente. Professor, observe a participação e o envolvimento de todos com a atividade sugerida.
