Módulo 1
ATIVIDADE 1
Figura 1 - Word Search
Fonte: Arquivo da autora.
Palavras contidas no Word Search: TIGER, LION, ALLIGATOR, FISH, BEE, OWL, ELEPHANT, SPIDER, TOUCAN, PIG, RABBIT, CHICKEN, FOX, HORSE, CAT, SNAKE, FROG, DOG, COW, PARROT, DUCK.
ATIVIDADE 2
1. What was the man’s attitude towards the woman?
2. Was his attitude fair? Why or why not?
3. Did he succeed? What happened to him?
4. What was the woman’s first reaction?
5. How did she look like when he left her?
6. What changes did she make?
7. What happened in the end? Did she succeed?
8. What does the tiger represent?

ROAR, by Katy Perry
I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath1
Scared to rock the boat and make a mess
So I sat quietly, agreed politely
I guess that I forgot I had a choice
I let you push me past the breaking point5
I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything
You held me down, but I got up
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder, gonna shake the ground10
You held me down, but I got up
Get ready, ‘cause I've had enough
I see it all, I see it now
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter
Dancing through the fire15
'Cause I am a champion
And you're gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
‘Cause I am a champion
And you're gonna hear me roar20
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
You're gonna hear me roar
Now I'm floating like a butterfly
Stinging like a bee, I earned my stripes
I went from zero, to my own hero25
You held me down, but I got up
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, your hear that sound
Like thunder, gonna shake your ground

Tiger Eye is a beautiful stone whose name comes from its resemblance to the eye of a tiger. It is found primarily in South Africa.
Tiger Eye is useful in relieving high blood pressure, and helping bronchial asthma, rheumatic heart disease, Otis, and psoriasis. It also has benefits for the weak and sick.
Tiger Eye's primary mystical property is that it provides mental focus and confidence. It helps you face and overcome difficult challenges and stick to your plans, despite discouraging setbacks. For this reason it is sometimes marketed as a gem that brings professional and financial success. It is also believed to protect you during your travels, because the mental focus keeps you aware of the dangers of your new surroundings and take appropriate cautions. For the same reason, Roman soldiers used to wear Tiger Eye for protection during battle.
If you have the habit of giving up and backing down from your fears, and of being easily distracted from what's important, maybe Tiger Eye is the gem for you.
1. According to the text, what are the Tiger Eye healing properties?
2. What are the mystical properties of the Tiger Eye?
3. Looking at the lyrics once more, what did the Tiger Eye bring to the woman in the song?
4. Do you believe in the power of the Tiger Eye?
5. Would you wear a Tiger Eye stone as a piece of jewelry?
