MÓDULO 1

Atividade 1

Distribua o seguinte texto aos alunos e peça para que realizem uma primeira leitura silenciosa. Em seguida, peça para que sublinhem todos os indicadores de tempo (como horas ou períodos do dia) que identificarem no texto. Cada aluno deverá ir ao quadro e escrever os indicadores de tempo encontrados no texto. Verifique se conseguiram identificar todos. Solicite que um aluno leia o texto em voz alta, observando a pronúncia correta das palavras.

Read the short description below:

I usually get up at a quarter past seven - that's seven fifteen in the morning. I have breakfast at eight o'clock and then take the bus to work at half past eight. I usually arrive at work at a quarter to nine. Sometimes, the bus is late and I arrive at about nine. My morning is usually pretty busy and I like taking a coffee break at twenty to eleven if possible. I then work to lunchtime at noon. In the afternoon, I usually have another break at three fifteen. I usually finish work at a quarter to five and arrive home around six in the evening. At night, I usually go to bed at eleven o'clock.

Em seguida, projete as seguintes explicações de como se dizer as horas na língua inglesa. Peça que cada aluno se responsabilize pela leitura de uma das regras. Em seguida, volte ao quadro anterior e peça para que os alunos preencham as horas que identificaram no texto. Projete as respostas, possibilitando que os alunos realizem a correção.

Look at the rules for telling time in English.

In English we use "past" to say times after the hour until half past, or 30 minutes past the hour.	We use "to" to say times before the hour from 31 minutes until the full hour.
In English we use o'clock only at the full hour. Example: It's eight o'clock	We can also just say the numbers in groups of two. Example: It's seven twenty-five
When speaking about the different times of the day we often use: in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening	Be careful! In English we use at night NOT in the night

Continue possibilitando a participação dos alunos com a leitura dos textos projetados ou com a correção dos exercícios propostos, fazendo revezamento nos turnos da fala.

Se possível, leve para a sala de aula um relógio de verdade e coloque as horas da tabela anterior para que os alunos digam as horas mostradas no relógio. Peça para que um aluno pergunte as horas ao outro, até que todas as horas do quadro sejam perguntadas. Esse procedimento poderá dar mais realidade a sua aula.

Atividade 2

No laboratório de informática, acesse http://esl.about.com/library/listening/bltelltime.htm (acesso em 18.05.2014) e peça para que os alunos realizem a atividade online de compreensão auditiva. Os alunos ouvirão, duas vezes, várias pessoas perguntando as horas. Eles deverão escrever as respostas e então clicar na seta do exercício para verificar se responderam corretamente. Chame a atenção dos alunos para as diferentes maneiras de se perguntar as horas na língua inglesa. Escreva-as no quadro.

Professor: Não se esqueça de previamente verificar, sempre, a condição dos equipamentos eletrônicos, garantindo uma maior qualidade e produtividade das atividades online sugeridas.

Atividade 3

Coloque o vídeo disponível em http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrxZWNu72WI (acesso em 18.05.2014) e pause a cada hora apresentada. Peça para que cada aluno se responsabilize por dizer uma das horas apresentadas, em voz alta. Disponibilize alguns minutos para as respostas, uma vez que se trata de um conteúdo novo para os alunos. Para tornar a atividade ainda mais interessante e complexa, peça para que os alunos deem diferentes maneiras de se dizer a mesma hora, de uma forma mais ou menos formal, conforme apresentadas no terceiro quadro da atividade de número 1.

Entregue aos alunos a seguinte atividade xerocopiada que se refere a um horário escolar. Os alunos deverão observar esse horário e responder às perguntas. Para a realização da correção, os próprios alunos deverão fazer as perguntas dos exercícios aos colegas.

Avaliação

Tal como apresentado na atividade de números 1 e 4, os alunos deverão elaborar um calendário semanal, especificando os horários das atividades por eles realizadas. Tendo como base esse calendário, um pequeno texto deverá ser escrito e apresentado oralmente para todos do grupo. A fim de compartilhar sua produção escrita, cada aluno deverá divulgá-la em uma plataforma virtual, previamente criada pelo grupo. Os alunos deverão inserir imagens ou fotos, enriquecendo a atividade avaliativa. Tanto a produção escrita quanto a oral deverá ser avaliada pelo professor.
